“Smoke Bellew” is a book by Jack London, an American novelist. A pioneer of commercial fiction and an innovator in the genre that would later become known as science fiction.

When, during a meeting with his uncle, he learns about a planned trip to Alaska, he decides to take part in it. During the first days of the journey, Christopher discovers his physical weakness and a complete lack of preparation for the hard life of a pioneer and gold digger.
